    Apparently not. That must become a false idol situation where they're creating their own rules for God. Therefore they're making their own god and following that.

    The Bible has no 'versions' either. They are simply translations. As our language changes over the years, we find it helpful to use the language of the day to tell the stories accurately. Do you know why there are no translations of Islam around? Because if the people actually read the Koran, they'd discover for themselves the inconsistency of it.

    Everything Mohammad did was new and inconsistent. Mohammad was no different than any other dictator. He started wars just like the Catholics did and used religion as his source of inspiration.
    If Jesus is a prophet of yours, and Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, and no man goes to the Father but though me", why then would you follow the instructions of another man 600 years after the fact, that taught that war, and fighting and his own laws were superior some how? Jesus taught humility, love, grace and everything opposite to war. Mohammad brings hate, death and lies. These are the exact characteristics of Satan.

    And another point about Islam. Does anyone EVER tell the truth? Your own clerics say they can lie if it's used in promotion of Islam. Is Allah a liar? Allah must be a liar, since you aspire to be like him, no?

    Surely you will not argue the point that there is only good and evil. Look at the things Jesus said and were said about him and compare that to the teachings of Mohammad. These are complete opposites. No matter how you defend Mohammad, you cannot say that the teachings of Jesus were anything but good.
    So which is good and which is not?

    Islam reminds me of Catholicism from the early days. It's so primitive. Depending on how long it lasts, some day there will be a reformation of Islam that will usher in truth and reveal the oppression inherent in it.

    FYI, Jesus loves you. He died specifically for you. Mohammad would not and did not give his life for you. I've read that no place in the Koran does it say that you are loved.

    Islam and the Koran are deceptions created by Satan to draw people away from God.

    not that he's evil or anything. But that he may enter into an agreement with the EU, who has a German leader. That German connection is strong.

    You do know that that is only one way to intrepret that verse right? Plus that definition doesn't hold up to what the rest of the bible says. Put that verse in context:
    16:16
    Simon Peter said, "You're the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
    16:17
    Jesus came back, "God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn't get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.
    16:18
    And now I'm going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.

    They're talking about who the people say Jesus is. Peter replies. Then Jesus tells Peter who he is probably pointing at him or embracing him. (The greek word for rock there can also mean pebble or some kind of stone that is smaller that Jesus, who is often referred to as a stumbling stone.) Then Jesus points back to himself and continues with "This is the rock....
    16:19 then goes on to tell us what kind of church Jesus will have, not Peter.
    There are all kinds of peter problems in the bible. Peter had to be corrected by Paul about his religion. Peter denied Christ 3 times after this event we're discussing above. Peter went to the Jews preaching the Gospel, not the Gentiles.

    Mary cannot be the 'mother of God' as you put it. God always existed and was not formed from anything. She was the biological earthly mother of Jesus the human, not Jesus the God. She was nothing more than an instrument of God, just like Billy Graham or anyone else that carries out the will of God. Catholics put more emphasis on her than Jesus. How many churchs, buildings and other things have somthing about the holy mother of god, or st mary or somthing of the like stamped on it? I've never seen the Jesus building, but I'm not Catholic either.

    Prayer with the dead is only allowed by the catholics that don't follow the bible. We're told specifically not to do this.

    It sounds like you do not follow the bible at all, given your last paragraph. Why even have it? The bible does tell us that the job of the Holy Spirit, whom is greater that Jesus as he said, is to teach and train us on the ways of God. If you get your instruction from a Pope or David Koresh or anyone else, you are doomed to fail. You have a relationship with the pope, not Jesus. "didn't we cast out demons in your name...." and Jesus will say on that day "depart from me, I never knew you.".

    Your explanation of Limbo is as laughable as the entire topic. Tomorrow will you tell us that neither hell nor heaven exists any longer? I mean why not, if you have the power to decide. Send the murderers to hell and let the rest of us into heaven. Come on, do it! You can't. It ain't up to you. Limbo either exists or it doesn't. God's not making up stuff along the way just because we want him to.

    Obviously, you're untrained in the bible or religion. You just know enough to be dangerous. Let me es plain it to you lucy.

    Every religion says there can be only one way. The fact is that someone is right and the rest are wrong. Only 1 way can be correct.

    Men are superior to women. Get over it. Men are stronger, there are more men scholars, scientists,politicians, mathematics professors etc.. and at the same time, there are more women around than men. But that's just looking at the numbers. God designed men and women to have roles, and women's main role is to be a helper to man. Don't like it? Take it up with God when you meet him. We don't make the rules, we just follow them. The bible teaches that homosexuality is wrong. Yes. We can't apologize for what God says is the right way, we can only follow directions as best we can. If you continually go against God, you're life will be full of problems, and you won't understand why.

    Yes, some other religons start with the old testament. However, having part truth in your religion and having the rest made up, is exactly what Satan wants. This is how you confuse the truth. His man-made religions wouldn't get very far, if they started from scratch in 2005, now would they? If I said "the sun came up yesterday". The would be the truth. However if I said "the sun came up yesterday and exploded" then that would be part truth, part lie, and the whole thing is a lie isn't it?

    Interpretations are not the source of evil. Satan is. He is the father of lies. He was a liar from the beginning. He has fun hiding the truth. It helps mislead God's children from God's word.

    Anyone can call anything hate when they don't like what's being said. Instead of running around spewing half truths and partial thoughts based on what people told you when you were growing up, pick up a bible and read for yourself. At least then you'll understand the how and why of life.

    Anyone with your half truths will dislike any Christian, including Bush.

    And about Jesus and Love. Love the people, not the sin. Read the bible my friend. Life is too short to be walking around blind.

    I honestly doubt that Bush wants what he preaches. He has to say some things (pro Palestinian support) not to tick off EVERY Muslum nation on earth. No matter what he says, the Islamic World War is coming. It is inevitable.

    After the thousand years (which by the way, in this case, means a very long time, not necessarily one thousand of our years or Gods. The interpreters writing in english but reading Greek chose to state a number rather than write " a number you can't count to.") Satan is let loose to deceive again, he and all unbelievers along with death and hades are thrown into the lake of fire. After that, God establishes his heaven on earth in Jerusalem where we worship God 24/7. This probably includes some kind of duties like work (which man did in the garden of eden before we sinned) and a chain of command. Towards the top of this chain of command are those who were beheaded for belief in Christ. Towards the bottom of this is believers with probably few if any good works. Non-believers are not included.

    the imagery in Revelation may in deed refer to weapons that haven't been invented yet, or have just been invented. Matching weapons to visual images could help us with timelines, etc..

    I just bought a book you might also like. Revelation, 4 Views. It tells of the 4 major view points of Revelation. The 4 views are "historicist", Preterist, futurist, & spiritual'. It tells how each verse is interpreted by each opposing view.
    Trying to finish another book before I start this one. Perhaps you could get it too? We'll "tawk".

    I've never read that Gog and Magog were Russia and China. But rather God would be the leader of the country of Magog.
