Amazing Math Of The Bible

March 3, 2005 / by bible-prophecy

I've copied the bible verses below so that you don't have to look them up. Read each bible verse yourself to verify (included at the end) and calculate this math correctly and you'll be amazed.

Ezekiel 4: 4-8 = 390+40 years punishment = 430
Subtract 70 years of debt already paid (they had already been in captivity this long) = 360
Leviticus 26:18 = Sin debt multiplied by 7. 360 x 7 = 2520 years or 907,200 days
907,200/365.25 (one year on the current calendar) = 2483.8
2483.8 - 536.3 (year and month of the decree to restore Jerusalem from Babylon )
= 1948.5

Israel became a nation in May of 1948!

Let me sum it up for you and you can verify:
Israel wouldn't repent for it's sin, so God gave them over to the Babylonians. After living for years under Babylonian rule, King Cyrus issued his decreen in 536.3 BC to have Jerusalem rebuilt. If we calculate Israels punishment of 430 years times 7, but subtract their time already served, we come to 2520 years. If we take this 2520 years and convert it into days, we get 907,200. Divide that by our current yearly number of days, which is 365.25 (days in 1 calendar year) and you get 2483.8. Now if we count 2483.8 from the date the decree was issued, we come to 1948.5, which is May, 1948, the very month and year Israel became a nation. God punished Israel and then restored her to a nation.

Ezekiel 4 4-8

4ÿ"Then lie down on your left side and place the iniquity of the house of Israel on it. You will bear their iniquity for the number of days you lie on your side. 5ÿFor I have assigned you the years of their iniquity according to the number of days [you lie down], 390 days; so you will bear the iniquity of the house of Israel . 6ÿWhen you have completed these days, lie down again, but on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah . I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year.

Leviticus 26

18ÿ"But if after these things you will not obey Me, I will proceed to discipline you seven times for your sins.ÿ

I have subtracted 2483.8-536.3 several times in different ways. I am still getting 1947.5, not 1948.5. Why is this?

Sorry, I get ahead of myself sometimes. I left out one important fact you can look up for yourselves. While it's true that Israel became a nation in 1948, the UN Resolution supporting it was declared in 1947.

Thanks...that makes more sense. I turned this information into a worksheet for my Algebra 2 classes...they thought it was fascinating!
